A gazebo adorned with flowers in a lush outdoor setting.

At 375 Union Ave in Bridgewater, the Somerville Elks Lodge #1068 has been doing something most venues can't fake: building real community. Chartered under the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, this lodge has spent generations funding scholarships, supporting veterans, and hosting the kind of gatherings people still talk about at the next one.

The venue itself earns its 4.7-star reputation the hard way. Couples have said the outdoor tent ceremony space felt like something out of a magazine, while the indoor reception hall, complete with a proper dance floor, kept the party going well past midnight. Sweet sixteens, anniversaries, and milestone birthdays have all found a home here, with staff that reviewers consistently call "amazing" and food that earns the word "delicious" in review after review.

Being an Elks member means more than a membership card. It means belonging to one of America's oldest and largest fraternal organizations, one that puts millions back into local communities every year. At Lodge #1068, that tradition is lived out at every meeting, every fundraiser, and every event held on these grounds.

What We Offer

The lodge offers a full-service event venue that handles weddings, quinceañeras, sweet sixteens, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations. The outdoor tent and canopy area creates a stunning ceremony backdrop, while the climate-controlled reception hall seats large groups comfortably around a dedicated dance floor.

Catering is handled in-house, and the food quality is something guests notice immediately. Reviews call it out by name, not as an afterthought. The kitchen produces banquet-style meals that hold up to the occasion, whether that's a plated wedding dinner or a buffet spread for 200.

Beyond events, the lodge runs an active fraternal membership program open to American citizens who believe in the Elks' core values: charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity. Members gain access to lodge facilities, social events, community service opportunities, and a network of Elks lodges across the country.

"My daughter celebrated her wedding at the ELKs. Her wedding was held outside under the tent/canopyand we moved indoors for the reception. The food was delicious and the venue was perfect for what we were looking for. We worked with Jenny who guided us the entire time. She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and always available to answer questions. The price was reasonable and the room we had worked perfectly. If you are looking for a great place to have a budget friendly wedding, I would highly suggest you look into the Elks. Thank you Jenny and staff. Note: The pictures show the tent and gazebo. The flowers were supplied by our florist."

"We held our wedding here last weekend (11/27/21), and are so glad we chose the Somerville Elks as our venue. Both the big and smaller ballrooms are gorgeous, the food is abundant and delicious, the prices simply cannot be beat for a central Jersey wedding, and the greatest aspect of all is the phenomenal job done by Jenny and her event planning team in organizing a seamless, stress-free event from start to finish! We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a classy yet budget friendly wedding or event!"
